OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

DOES NOT IGNITE

When an electric stove won’t start, be sure the stove power cord is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are on. You should check the pilot light for gas models. If the stove power cord is plugged in or if the pilot light is on in the oven, that means some other part will need to be repaired. The reason for the problem could be an infinite switch, surface element, igniter or bake and broil element.

BURNER WILL NOT HEAT

A burner or stove that does not produce heat will not do much. An oven does not heat when there is a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. A burner won’t turn on when an element breaks or if the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We are able to troubleshoot and repair these problems in no more than 1-2 hours after we arrive.

TIMER ISSUES

You can assume the control panel on a stove or oven is broken when the timer or program functions are not working. If that’s the case, we know how to replace control panels for GE, LG, Sears, Kenmore, KitchenAid and several other brands of stoves, ovens and ranges. We offer a warranty on all of the control boards and manufacturer replacement parts we need for this stove repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You want a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the oven heat is out of control, it might be due to a problem with the sensor or thermostat. Our appliance technicians can identify the cause of the problem and then fix it. But be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A common stove issue is when an igniter will glow but does not light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from either a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We can determine whether we are able to repair these applianceparts or if we will need to replace the part.

DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

Modern self-cleaning types of ovens can have door issues. The door does not open after the oven cleans itself. We inspect the door closure, seal and thermostat to troubleshoot why the door doesn’t open and then we complete the repair so we can put an end to the issue.
